Could you be a Living Wage Friendly Funder?
WCVA members, charities and other people active in civil society
in Wales regularly talk to me about money – getting it, spending it
appropriately, accounting for it, making it go further. Funds
are important for our work, to support voluntary activity and to
pay staff if we are an employer.
WCVA is Living Wage employer – this is a statement that is easy
to say but did require strategic commitment and focused work.
There are 170 Living Wage employers in Wales, so we are in
good company – although increasing this number would be great.
We are, however,
the only Living Wage Friendly Funder in Wales – that is a
real shame and something I want to do something about…
