Funding for the Environment and Health – Webinar Recording

Welsh Government has recently launched two new grants schemes
that support the delivery of key elements of the Programme for
Government as set out in Taking Wales Forward and Prosperity for
All, while supporting delivery of specific policies relating to
health and natural resources in an integrated way.
  Cycling Wales

  • ENRaW focusing on improving the quality of the local
    environment and creating sustainable green infrastructure;
    and
     

  • HAF supporting projects that can access and make use of
    these areas to encourage healthy and active
    lifestyles

 
In each case, the new grants focus on encouraging collaborative
projects that will deliver a range of multiple benefits and
improved outcome across the well-being goals, leading to longer
term sustainability and new models of delivery. The teams operating
the grants will continue to work closely to ensure that clear links
between the schemes and the activities they support are made.

Enabling Natural Resources and Well-being in Wales
2019-2023 (ENRaW)

The Welsh Government has released a new funding scheme to support
the implementation of the Natural Resources Policy, making clearer
links between Wales’ natural resources and well-being. Grants will
be available for cross-sector partnerships delivering
improvements in local environment quality, green infrastructure,
and ecological resilience.

Healthy and Active Fund (HAF)
The Healthy & Active Fund (HAF) is a new programme managed and
delivered in partnership by Sport Wales, the Welsh Government and
Public Health Wales. The Fund seeks to improve people’s mental
and physical health by enabling active lifestyles.
