Tell us why you #CaruElusennau (love charities) at the National Eisteddfod
On the WCVA stand this year, we’ll be collecting your thoughts
and feelings on charities on our #CaruElusennau wall – but don’t
make your mind up just yet, as we’re hosting a range of activities
throughout the week to showcase the best Wales’ charities have to
offer.
Groups including City Hospice, Dawns i Bawb, BAWSO, Techniquest, Tros Gynnal Plant, The Pituitary Foundation,
Play Wales, Music in Hospitals,
and NSPCC
will be showering attendees with glitter, dancing, playing ukuleles
and more as we learn about the exceptional work they’re doing in
Wales.
There will also be some food for thought in the form of panel
discussions, with topics ranging from charity leadership and Welsh
language volunteering to the third sector’s role in delivering
Cymraeg 2050.
Meanwhile, in our HQ Baltic House (conveniently located just
around the corner from the Maes) we’ll be continuing the
conversation with presentations from the Josef Herman
Foundation and Community Transport Association
UK. Children in
Wales will also be hosting their annual forum
featuring an update on the implications of Brexit on young people
from Mark Drakeford AM, Cabinet Secretary for Finance.
Finally, WCVA member Cytûn are taking
over the Harbour room at Baltic House for the week, running a
series of events culminating in a Welsh language roundtable
discussion on life after Brexit in Wales. For more information, check out their website.
