Future Proof Bristol: Demystify your recruitment process for the young candidates

Date: Thursday 12 October

Time: 11am – 12pm

Event: Webinar

Business in the Community and City & Guilds Group surveyed 4,000 young people about their experiences of finding work. One in five young people said that a difficult application process had put them off the company they have applied for, and one in 10 said they had been put off the whole industry. These figures show that a poor recruitment process not only impacts a young person’s planned career direction but can also alienate potential future customers.

Our research also showed that 30 per cent of young people find the process of applying for a job difficult. For 31 per cent of applicants a key barrier was them not knowing what was required of them at every stage, while 21 per cent said an unclear job description made the process difficult.

We want to empower companies to use new techniques to create transparent, open and accessible recruitment processes for young people. To achieve this, we would like to invite you to a one hour webinar, focusing on how they can demystify recruitment for young first time job seekers.
