We are delighted to be welcoming Hollywood actor and third sector advocate Michael Sheen to his first AGM as President of WCVA. Michael has a passionate commitment to a strong civil society in Wales, and we’re really looking forward to hearing all about it!
The AGM will also include the launch of our brand new membership charter which reinforces our commitment to place our members at the heart of what we do.
Annual Lecture with Laura McAllister CBE
Following the AGM our annual lecture this year will be delivered by Laura McAllister CBE, Professor of Practice in Public Policy and the Governance of Wales at Cardiff University, and ex-Wales international footballer.
Laura will focus on the vital role of governance and diversity in the future of the third sector in Wales. As a leading expert in this field Laura will bring fantastic insight and a depth of knowledge to her lecture, which is not to be missed!
We’re confident that both Laura and Michael will leave us all feeling inspired with a continued determination to improve social, economic, environmental and cultural well-being for all in Wales.
