Access match-funding through COVID-19 crowdfunder scheme

The National Emergencies Trust have partnered with Crowdfunder to distribute the remaining £1.2m of the Coronavirus Appeal Funds. Match-funding is available for organisations running Crowdfunder campaigns.

The remaining £1.2m raised by the National Emergencies Trust (NET) in response to the coronavirus pandemic is being distributed through a match-funding project.

Voluntary organisations including registered charities, constituted groups and community interest companies who generate donations on Crowdfunder will be able to access match-funding against 25 donations received on the platform.

THE LOCAL ACTION FUND

The Local Action Fund is offering more than £1.2m in match-funding to projects making a positive difference in their communities. Each organisation can receive up to £10,000 in match-funding to enhance their efforts, which can be used for anything from supporting core costs to helping them launch a new project.

Each organisation that signs up will have the opportunity of getting 25 donations of up to £250 each match-funded, up to a total of £10,000.

WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS?

  • Your project must raise funds from at least 25 unique supporters within four weeks.
  • For every donation made towards your project NET will match it up to £250. So if your project receives a donation of £20, NET will add another £20. If your project receives a donation of £500 then you’ll receive an additional £250.
  • Only one donation per supporter will be matched (NET will not provide match-funding where a supporter is deemed to have made multiple donations).

HOW TO APPLY

If you’re interested in taking part in this project, you will need to apply by 22 October 2021. Successful applicants will then launch their crowdfunding campaigns from 17 November 2021 to 31 March 2022.

Further information and links to the application form and eligibility criteria can be found on the Crowdfunder website.
