Building Trust in a Digital Transport Future

Digital transformation will change the way we design, operate and use transport immeasurably. The change has already begun; intelligent mobility and data sharing is enabling an increasingly seamless passenger experience; network capacity is being digitally enhanced; customer service has become more intelligent and social; and passengers benefit from improved affordability and choice.

But for digital’s great potential to be realised, the sector must address some fundamental challenges. Employees will need new skills; suppliers will need to be empowered to keep pace; service design must be inclusive; and above all, trust must be at the heart of decision making, driven by transparent and visible data sharing.

Business in the Community invites transport sector businesses and their stakeholders to explore how digital transformation can help to build and maintain trust in the sector whilst seizing the opportunities it enables. Join us to:

  • Hear case studies from Fujitsu, the Department for Transport and other leading organisations embracing an inclusive digital revolution

  • Be at the forefront of the sector’s response to the unintended social and environmental consequences of digital transformation by shaping an action plan which identifies its key priorities. Round table discussions will help to inform a position paper to be presented to key government and business stakeholders for the sector following the event

  • Develop a better understanding of the key social and environmental risks and opportunities arising from digital transformation in the sector, and how to maintain trust in your brand as you tackle them

Speakers announced:

  • Russell Goodenough – Client Managing Director, Fujitsu
  • Nic Cary – Waysphere (former Head of Data Policy, DfT)
  • Steve Armitage – IT Futures Manager, Heathrow Airport
