Conference to look at new ways of working to improve public services in Wales

Continuous improvement communityThis year’s All Wales Continuous Improvement Community conference (AWCIC) will take place at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea, on 29 November, entitled Improvement & Risk – Failure is not an option.

Public services are under ever increasing pressure to deliver higher quality services to the people of Wales. To achieve this, services across the public sector will have to try new ways of working, use new technologies and take risks. This year’s theme is about connecting the need for taking risk to good improvement.efforts, and ultimately better public services.

There will be a range of keynote speakers, including Tracy Myhill, Chief Executive of the Welsh Ambulance Service, as well as opportunities for networking, and workshops. Delegates will also hear from this year’s winners of the AWCIC awards.

WCVA will be running a workshop with Heledd Kirkbride from NCVO and will be also taking an exhibition stand. The focus of workshop will be to promote PQASSO to the Welsh public sector, highlighting good governance, risk management and continuous improvement.
