New Progression routes into care, SIA and Teaching assistant pathways programmes

New bespoke employment programmes have been launched by ACE CGL (Achieving Change Through Employment – formerly SOVA), and they are looking for prospective clients to be referred to them.

Tailored to meet the needs of everyone, these programmes will work as slowly or as quickly as your client needs and these programmes are also free to access. Your clients will gain qualifications, work experience and job search support as well as job interviews with employers who are currently looking for new staff.

Clients need to be aged 25 and over, identify as BAME (second or third generation full or partial heritage from outside Wales, England and Scotland), and be unemployed for 12 months unless they are economically inactive or have refugee / humanitarian aid status, meaning that they can be supported immediately.

Progression routes into care is a programme aimed at people who would like to work in the Care sector, while SIA is for those who would like to become Security Officers, and the Teaching Assistant programme is for those who would like to undertake training to work as teaching assistants.

ACE CGL is a project that works with BAME adults who are aged 25 or over, and are either long term unemployed or economically inactive. Participants must also be eligible to work in the UK. ACE CGL can offer help with job searches, CV writing, interview skills and job applications.
