New website launched to protect the voluntary sector from fraud and cybercrime
The Charity Commission has launched a new charity fraud website designed to give the voluntary sector information, advice and practical tools to fight fraud and stay safe from harm.
The new website is part of a joint initiative between the Charity Commission and the Fraud Advisory Panel, ahead of this year’s Charity Fraud Awareness week, which will take place from 18 to 22 October.
The campaign aims to tackle fraud and cybercrime by raising awareness and sharing good practice. Anyone who wants to protect the sector and the vital work it does is being encouraged to get involved – including trustees, staff, volunteers and professional advisors.

Charities who wish to show that they are acting to manage the risk of fraud can also sign up to the Fraud Pledge
