Regional Investment in Wales

Do you want to have your say on the future of regional investment in Wales?

The launch (28 February 2020) of the 12-week consultation ‘A Framework for Regional Investment in Wales’ provides everyone with the opportunity to determine what approaches will work best to achieve growth and inclusiveness across all parts of Wales.

The consultation proposals set out a simplified and flexible framework focused on four broad investment priority areas covering business productivity, healthier and more sustainable communities, the zero-carbon economy, and reducing income inequalities for people.

Welsh Government are keen to hear your views on the proposals set out within the consultation document which is why they’re holding four engagement events across Wales:

Huw Irranca-Davies AM, Chair of the Regional Investment for Wales Steering Group, will deliver a keynote address at each event. All events will include presentations from Welsh Government officials and provide opportunities for discussion and feedback on the consultation proposals through workshop sessions.

For groups that can’t attend these events, you can provide views and feedback on the consultation by responding to a set of questions listed in the following Welsh Government website link: https://gov.wales/framework-for-regional-investment-in-wales. The consultation closing date is 22 May.

They also welcome invitations to discuss the consultation at events arranged by your organisation, group or sector which you represent. Please submit your request to: RegionalInvestmentInWales@gov.wales
