Small charity leadership survey – win a 32GB iPad

The Garfield Weston Foundation and Pilotlight have opened the Small Charity
Leadership Survey for 2019
– filling it out will win a 32GB
Apple iPad for the charity of one randomly-picked entrant, and will
help you consider whether to get involved in a great opportunity
for your organisation.

This quick, anonymous survey of leaders of charities with income
of less than £5m might inform your decision to enter your charity
into the Weston Charity Awards 2019. This scheme, which is free to
enter, will award a free programme of leadership coaching and
mentoring from Pilotlight, along with funding, to up to 20 eligible
charities in 2020. Entries are accepted from Wales, the Midlands,
the North East and the North West.
Three Welsh charities were among 2019’s winners
, and five were
winners in 2018, which was the first year that the Weston Charity
Awards were open to charities in Wales.

The survey helps Garfield Weston and Pilotlight, and other
organisations with whom they share the results, to understand the
needs of the sector. In
last year’s survey
, two-thirds of the 371 respondents said they
expected more uncertainty in their operating environment in the
coming year. Nonetheless, they were optimistic for the fortunes of
their charities – even though just two in five said they expected
their income to rise over the following year, four in five said
they planned to help more people in the next 12 months.

The survey is open until 10 October. The Weston Charity Awards
will open later this year.
