Third Sector Awards Cymru 2017 – Nominations now open!

Third Sector Awards Cymru 2017 OG

Countless third sector groups all across Wales do inspirational things every day. The Third Sector Awards Cymru promote, recognise and celebrate the hard work and great achievements of third sector groups from around the country.

The very best in Wales’ third sector organisations are honoured across seven categories, and winners will receive their awards at an exclusive ceremony in Cardiff in February 2018.

Categories

There are six categories in which you can nominate your own organisation and a seventh to nominate another organisation.

Award for best communications

Supported by Creative Loop

Does your organisation have an effective or different way of communicating your message? How well do you communicate? – with your staff or volunteers; with your members or service users; or perhaps you are using social media to get your messages out?

The environmental award

Has your organisation developed a project to deliver environmental benefits to the local area or community? Have you helped protect species or habitats; run sustainable resource, food or travel projects or taken steps to reduce your carbon footprint as an organisation and through the services you provide?

Health, social care and wellbeing award*

How has your organisation put people at the centre and co-designed and codelivered services with them to make a real difference to their lives? This can be early intervention/preventive work, maintaining independent living, self-care or reablement.

*The category recognises that work in health, social care and wellbeing is often in partnership and could be a consortium or inter-agency approach: we therefore welcome applications from a partnership/consortium that is led by the third sector, as well as an individual organisation.

Award for good governance

Trustees play a vital role in the governance, management and administration of charities and voluntary organisations. Tell us about the work your trustees do to ensure that your organisation is well run and exemplar.

Award for innovative fundraising

This award recognises exceptional achievement amongst the fundraising community in Wales for the campaign or event which demonstrates significant innovation and creativity. Tell us about how your fundraising team were able to create a successful and innovative campaign to raise money in these difficult times.

Award for digital inclusion

Supported by Digital Communities Wales

Tell us how your organisation is promoting basic digital skills and helping your members or service users to get online. Are you equipping your staff and volunteers with digital skills? Are you working with other organisations to co-ordinate digital inclusion activities in your area?

Class award for the most admired organisation*

Which voluntary organisation or group do you admire most for the causes it represents and the work it does? Nominate an organisation and tell us why. Organisations may not nominate themselves in this category.

*Eligible entries in the most admired award category will be going to a public vote, details of which will available on the WCVA website after the closing date.
