WCVA’s AGM and annual lecture 2021

Our AGM & annual lecture will take place online in November, featuring fantastic guest speakers, networking opportunities, & this year’s lecture delivered by Katherine Trebeck, co-founder & Strategic Advocacy Advisor, Wellbeing Economy Alliance & co-founder of WEAll Scotland.

WCVA is delighted to announce our AGM and annual lecture which will take place online this year on Thursday 18 November 2021 from 12pm to 3pm.

Both the AGM and annual lecture are free to attend but are exclusively for WCVA members (more information below).

WHAT TO EXPECT

AGM

Our AGM will be held between 12 pm and 1 pm and will include highlights from WCVA’s annual report, financial report as well as two fantastic guest speakers, Sian Lewis, CEO, Urdd and Ewan Hilton, CEO, Platfform. The AGM will also feature the launch of the Walter Dickie Bursary.

The successful candidates in our Board of Trustees election will be announced at our AGM. If you have not yet taken part in the election, please do so as soon as possible. All member organisations have been sent an e-mail with information on how to vote.

Please note that while we warmly welcome multiple attendees from the same organisation, only one person may vote on resolutions on behalf of the member organisation.

Networking

Following the AGM, there will be opportunities to join virtual networking lunch breaks from 1pm to 2pm. We will have multiple 20-minute lunch time networking sessions on different topics, hosted jointly by some of our expert staff members and trustees.

Annual lecture 2021 – Changing our economy to change our future: reimagining where change needs to reside

Lastly, we will close with our exciting annual lecture from 2 pm to 3 pm. We are delighted to announce that Katherine Trebeck, co-founder and Strategic Advocacy Advisor, Wellbeing Economy Alliance and co-founder of WEAll Scotland, will be delivering the lecture ‘Changing our economy to change our future: reimagining where change needs to reside’.

This lecture will be followed by an open Q&A with those in attendance.

It is not mandatory that you join us for the whole three hours, but it would be wonderful to have you participate wherever possible.

WCVA MEMBERSHIP

Both our AGM and annual lecture are member only events. Please note that if you register and you are not a member, you will not receive a joining email for the day.

Membership is free for organisations that have an annual income of £50,000 or less, and otherwise starts at just £32 a year. For more information on how to become a member, please visit our membership page.
