Webinar: Woodlands for Wales Action Plan
Webinar: Woodlands for Wales Action Plan
Date: 06 June 2018, 2pm
The current Woodland for Wales Strategy covers 4 broad themes including the role of woodlands and trees in responding to climate change, building prosperity, serving local needs for health, education and jobs, and making a positive contribution to biodiversity, landscapes and heritage.
The accompanying Action Plan sets out 14 key actions to maximise the role that Wales’s trees can play in our well-being.
In this webinar Welsh Government will talk further about the ambition of the Strategy and potential opportunities for collaboration with the third sector to help deliver it. This includes an action to explore how the capacity of community groups and enterprises to be involved in woodland management can be built.
By the end of this webinar you will understand:
– What the Woodlands for Wales Action Plan and Woodlands for Wales Strategy cover
– Why these updates matter to your work
– How community groups can get involved
This webinar will be delivered in English but contributions and questions are welcomed in Welsh or English.
