NICVA is running a members only Viewfinder survey which focuses on Data Governance and Security. These topics are key features of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and their impacts are emerging as key issues for the voluntary and community sector. While there are huge benefits for organisations in using data effectively, we recognise the challenges that many organisations face to ensure they are compliant. We believe that many organisations want to get more from their data, and ensure that they comply with legal requirements and have adequate protections in place.
Combining these issues, we have prepared a survey to inform how we can better represent and support our members on these issues. The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete. We hope that members will find it useful to benchmark where they are on compliance around these issues.
We are aware that some of the terminology contained in the survey may be unfamiliar. Where this is the case you can select an answer option to reflect lack of awareness- it is a valid response, and it will help us get a true assessment of what support our members require.
The data we collect will be anonymised and summarised in a web article.
We fully recognise the pressures that many in the sector are facing, but we would ask you to help us to help you by completing the survey. Please note, one Viewfinder survey has been sent to each of NICVA member’s organisations and we only require one response per organisation.
