WCVA is looking for new members to provide guidance and feedback for our various funding schemes. These funding schemes enable voluntary organisations in Wales to positively impact people’s lives in our communities here and further afield.
Our independent panel members are volunteers who help us to make good decisions on how funding is distributed to ensure the voluntary sector can continue and expand on vital work.
WHY ARE WE RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS?
WCVA recognises the positive value of diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We are completely reviewing the membership of all our funding advisory panels and actively seeking fresh insights, outlooks and expertise.
We are committed to being as inclusive as possible and our goal is to be able to hear as many different voices as possible on the advisory panels. Voices that are from diverse backgrounds that are often under-represented on panels such as this.
WHAT WILL YOU GET FROM BEING A PANEL MEMBER?
Becoming a panel member will mean that you get to actively make a bigger difference to society as well as getting a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop your skills and experience in areas such as governance, grant management and risk analysis.
Our panels are also a great way to develop your network by working alongside other volunteer panel members from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
WCVA grant panel positions are voluntary and are therefore unpaid. We understand that not everyone has the same ability to take on unpaid work, however we will do our very best to support any interested individuals to overcome these barriers.
